Beauty pageants maintain strict codes of conduct, and cases of stripped titles are rare but not unprecedented. Earlier this year, former Miss Universe Argentina Magali Benejam lost her title after claiming the competition was rigged.
The path to the Miss Grand International stage is difficult, requiring contestants to win local and national pageants before competing internationally. Suphannee “Baby” Noinonthong, 27, was crowned Miss Grand Prachuap Khiri Khan 2026, but her dream came crumbling down just one day later.
On September 20, Baby earned her provincial crown, setting her up as a contender for the national competition. But celebrations turned to scandal when explicit content allegedly featuring her wearing see-through lingerie, using a sex toy, and smoking an e-cigarette went viral online.

The Miss Grand Thailand organization swiftly took action, citing violations of her contestant contract. A statement read that her activities “did not align with the spirit and principles contestants are required to uphold.”
Committee statement on termination
“The incumbent Miss Grand Prachuap Khiri Khan 2026 was found to have engaged in certain activities that do not align with the spirit and principles contestants are required to uphold. Therefore, it is necessary to terminate her position,” the committee said.

Following the decision, Baby publicly apologized, revealing that she participated in nude photoshoots and videos to support herself and her bedridden mother, who has since passed away.
During a live broadcast, she pleaded for a second chance, only to be informed by a lawyer that the contract violation could carry a sentence of up to three years in jail.
